- 'Each month a winemaker is featured; and there is also a “Collector List”. This is a lovely thing whereby friends of the owners with fine whereby friends of the owners with fine wine in their cellars sell some of them on consignment exclusively for drinking at the restaurant – so you won’t be able to try them anywhere else'

"Wow" is all I can say after having dinner here again last night. It’s very rare when one eats out that you don’t find something to "nit-pick" about in a restaurant - but at 28-50 is it’s really hard to find anything not to your liking. The charm & personality of the team are the first big plus point of this venue! Then there is the wine list, beware it’s addictive! Xavier gave us 4 wine recommendations and they were all spot on once we had described what wine style we fancied drinking ( I’m trés fussy) - if anyone has wondered what the skill of the Sommelier is (vs. a waiter!) they have definitely not met Xavier yet! He’s a wine genius that you would want in your pocket every time you opened a wine list!

And the lovely Ed and the entire service team are great too - always friendly and make an evening there so enjoyable. Last but not least (although I am still dreaming of a glass of the St Joseph I had last night appearing on my desk?) the food is gorgeous - simple ingredients yet absolutely fantastic. Bravo team!

This restaurant had it all...unpretentious & elegant... fabulous service and brilliant food, at a very fair price. Did I mention the clean, warm and cosy atmosphere? Did I mention the great wine? Did I mention the gluten free bread...

All in a mood of tranquillity, nothing showy or frenetic. This is a place to discover.

I spotted the details about 28-50 opening in Drinks Business. We came along in the 'soft launch' week but could not eat as the restaurant was fully booked. We had a couple of wines and admired the collectors wine list and food menus. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great relaxed informal ambiance. A must to return to eat!!
